BREAKING NEWS: Third Energy fracking plans approved in North Yorkshire

Third Energy, the company seeking to explore for and produce shale gas in North Yorkshire alongside its conventional production assets has been granted planning permission for test fracking.
It’s the first successful planning application to be brought forward since two minor earth tremors in Lancashire resulted in a temporary moratorium on the practice.
After hearing hours of testimony from opponents and supporters of the plans, North Yorkshire county councillors voted 7-4 in favour of approval.
